Server Filtering (Staff)Every message that is centrally scanned for spam is given a score. To allow the server to filter mail automatically, a mail header (X-Spam-Score) is added to each email. To configure filtering on this header on the server you must use the staff webmail interface.
This will result in a default rule that files all messages with a score of 5 or above into a "Spam" folder. If you want to customise the score setting, white-list (never filter) particular addresses or discard messages instead of using the "Spam" folder, choose "Advanced Spam Filter..." after step 3 and complete the extra settings appropriately. Mail in the "Spam" folder will be automatically deleted after 7 days, even if it has not been read. More detailed information on configuring server filters is contained in the staff email message filtering guide. |
