Using laptops
Laptops differ depending on the model, manufacturer & operating system installed. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that your presenters' laptops will work straight away when connecting them to the projection system in your assigned conference venue.
To avoid delays, we recommend that your conference support team familiarise themselves with standard procedures for connecting laptops to an external monitor or projector. Please ensure that your team use the guides available below, which provide helpful detailed instructions.
Please note that in our conference venues, the IP number and host name will be automatically allocated by DHCP and will differ from those allocated in the normal work or home environment of the presenter who owns the laptop. This may limit access to external network services which are restricted by IP number.
