About Identity & Access

Identity & Access sits within Communication Services of the Information Infrastructure Program. In broad terms IA is responsible for the following areas:

  • Identity Management
  • Electronic Directories
  • Systems Access

The group has specific responsibility for managing the following:

  • Existing infrastructure including Account Registration System (ARS) and IPAM (IP Address Management system)
  • Electronic directories including Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, email, telephone, DNS, DHCP and certificate management
  • Authentication systems and processes
  • Access enabling, restriction and security
  • Reporting services including:
    • capacity planning reports on directory systems
    • uptime reports for authentications systems, services and directories
    • major incident documentation and reporting
    • security reports
    • audit trails of various access and authentication events
