IPAM - Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. I am having issues running IPAM in MAC OS.
There is a known compatibility issue between IPAM and Mac or Linux OS. This is caused by inconsistencies between Java versions on various platforms. Hence IPAM is only supported when running under Windows Environments.
Q2. My IPREG passwords no longer works in IPAM.
IPAM uses Active Directory for authentication and in the past IPREG uses forte. So if you cannot login with your previous password, that maybe the reason. If you cannot remember your AD password, please reset your "mail" account using the http://accounts.unimelb.edu.au website.
Q3. My access permissions in IPAM are different from IPREG?
IPAM user permissions were not directly migrated from IPREG, as many of them were legacy access rights. IPAM groups were created after consultations with faculties managers. If you are still missing accesses in IPAM, please contact IdentityAndAccess team via Remedy. However, We may need to contact your faculty IT manager to verify the request.
Q4. How do I see the current DHCP leases for my network?
Under the "DHCP and IPAM" grid, click on the network you interest in. Then click on the required DHCP range in the "Ranges, Fix Addresses and Filters" tab. If you selected a valid DHCP range, you should see the list of current DHCP leases in the "DHCP leases" tab.
