IT Desktop Services (ITDS)The IT Desktop Services Group is charged with providing the appropriate levels of service in response to client needs of Information Technology support and services for both staff and students within the University. The Group provides a range of desktop IT hardware and software support services for Information Services, Shared Services adopters, University Executive Management and other clients through negotiated Partnerships or Service Level Agreements. These services provided include the implementation of the IT desktop architecture, policy and standards, the provision of desktop IT hardware and software support services for Information Services (with its 3500 workstations and laptops) and IT support through the use of negotiated Service Level Agreements, and partnering with University clients. To request services : http://servicedesk.unimelb.edu.au Manager : Craig Waller Level 2, 258 Queensberry St. ITDS comprises four teams: Executive IT Support team is responsible for delivering priority support services to clients of the University's Senior Management which consists of the VC, Deans, VP's, Senior Management and their direct support staff. Desktop Support team is responsible for delivering support services to staff in Information Services, engaged Faculties and Administrative Divisions. The service will, generally be operated under the targets and conditions notes in the IT Shared Services Framework, SLA's and partnership agreements. Desktop Learning Support team delivers support services to the Information Services training labs, libraries and learning hubs to maintain the quality of service to enhance the staff and student's Melbourne experience. Desktop Deployment Support team is responsible in the development of the SOE and delivering the support mechanisms to the IT Desktop Services group. |
