About IT User Services
Background
IT User Services (ITUS) is one of five Programs within Information Services. This Program is responsible for providing University-wide leadership on a number of client-facing information technology services to support the University’s staff and students.
These information technology services include
- Service Desks for incident, problem resolution and work requests services to support the University’s Information Systems and Information & Communications Technology
- IT Desktop Services for staff within Information Services and other clients including faculties and Shared Services with supporting partnership agreements in place
- student and staff computer laboratory management and support services, working in conjunction with the Information & Education Services Program and participating faculties
- advanced computing services to support research activities
- computing software & hardware procurement and advisory services
- advice and coordination of the negotiation and management of IT-based information and technology licences for the University, and
- IT Security management services.
This Program works closely as a team with all the other Information Services Programs and the Deputy Principals of Information Technology and Marketing & Services in providing an integrated approach to service support and delivery.
