Applying for a licence

The software can not be installed before a licence is ordered.  To renew a licence for the following year it has to be re-ordered. There is no automatic licence renewal. 

SPSS

Users

To obtain a licence you need to agree to the SPSS licence conditions and provide your personal details; please visit SPSS Registration.

IT Staff

SPSS installations in University labs have to be registered via the SPSS Registration System; please visit SPSS Registration.

SAS and MINITAB

To obtain a licence please submit your request via http://servicedesk.unimelb.edu.au. Please include the following information:

  • The code/name of the department ordering the licence
  • The number of licences required
  • The type of computers: PC, Mac, Unix workstation
  • Users' names/room number and building/email addresses, if licences are for single users
  • The lab locations, if licences are for departmental labs
  • The LITE's name.

SAS Additional Requirement

If a SAS licence is ordered for a private computer a signed form SAS Home Use has to be sent to IT Licensing Group, fax: 8344 2766, itlicensing-info@unimelb.edu.au.

MINITAB Additional Requirement

Before installing the software a signed Minitab Licence Agreement form has to be sent to IT Licensing Group, fax: 8344 2766, itlicensing-info@unimelb.edu.au.

SYSTAT, GENSTAT, SIGMAPLOT

To obtain a licence a completed Purchase Order Requisition form has to be emailed to itprocurement-info@unimelb.edu.au.
