SPSS Licence Conditions under the University of Melbourne Licence Agreement

SPSS can only be used for the University of Melbourne non profit research projects and teaching.

SPSS can only be used by:

• Full-time and part-time University employees
• Faculty members (honorary staff)
• University students
• Contractors performing work for the University for non commercial purposes.

SPSS can only be installed on:

• Computers owned or leased by the University
• Computers owned by full or part time University employees. Staff who leave the University are not entitled to keep the software on their private computers.
• Computers owned by approved affiliated institutions if these computers are fully controlled by the University and they are designated for the exclusive use of authorised users. In this case, an authorised user (a University employee or a faculty member) must sign the attached SPSS Off-Campus Licence Agreement. If a computer is designated for students, a chosen University employee has to take responsibility for that computer. This means that non University employees will not have access to that computer under any circumstances.

Please note:

The SPSS licence agreement does not cover computers owned by students. Students may purchase a 4-year licence for the SPSS Graduate Pack from the University Bookshop, releases and prices. The SPSS Graduate Pack contains: Base module, Regression Models, Advanced Models and Amos. Information about the SPSS Graduate Pack is available at http://www.spss.com/spssbi/gradpack/ .
