Overview

The specification of desktop Standard Operating Environments (SOEs) supports University of Melbourne activities of research, teaching and knowledge transfer by providing desktop computing equipment that supports innovation in a manner that reduces the total cost of ownership.

The total cost of ownership is reduced by reducing complexity, streamlining procurement and simplifying deployment.

The SOEs specified on this site have been developed through a collaborative process engaging the SOE Reference Group or through projects intended to enhance the University IT environment.
