Dreamweaver

Learn about constructing web pages using Dreamweaver and html and the use of the latest university templates. This course takes you from the very basic to mid level skills. No previous knowledge is required. Topics include site management, FTP, construction of web pages, use of colours, making links, inserting images, image maps, button rollovers, tables, anchors, forms, how CSS works. It fully covers the use of the new University templates and updating an old site to the new templates. Group 2 day course or individual tuition available.

Photoshop/Fireworks

Learn about manipulating images and constructing graphics for use in web pages, documents, thesis and PowerPoint presentations using Photoshop and Fireworks. This course takes you from the very basic to mid level skills. No previous knowledge is required. Topics covered include file types, exporting images for the web (jpg and gif), image size and pixel definition, working with layers, selections, colour adjustments, styles including contour and drop shadow, text in images, Adobe Bridge, RAW. This course is excellent for making new icons and banner images for the new University templates. Group 2 day course or individual tuition available.

Flash

Learn about constructing animated images for insertion into web pages using Macromedia Flash. This is an introductory course. No previous knowledge is required. Topics covered include using layers, motion and shape animations using tweening, making buttons, using text and colours, importing images, exporting Flash for use in web pages. Group 1 day course or individual tuition available.
