If a dual OHP operating system is available confirm the correct OHP controls are selected as ON from the touch panel control system. If the OHP still fails to operate the globe may have blown and needs to be replaced.
I am unable to focus the displayed image from the OHP
The outside lens on the OHP can be adjusted from the OHP arm controls to focus the displayed OHP image. To obtain a clear sharp image from the OHP the squared plastic lens plate that sits inside the top of the OHP must be inserted correctly in the UP position. The correct UP and DOWN sides are labelled on the corners of the squared plastic lens plate.
The OHP globe has blown
The OHP will have a spare globe installed which can be moved into place from the change switch located on the front of the OHP. Spare globes are also kept in a drawer within the vicinity of the lectern/presenter table or AV equipment rack. The building supervisors maintain the supply of OHP globes and batteries on a daily basis. If you require assistance to install an OHP globe please contact the LSS Service Desk on extension 47064 ASAP.

The microphone is not working
The LSS audio visual system must be powered ON for all LSS microphones in a shared learning space to operate. Check the microphone mute button has not been activated from the touch panel control system. If you are using a lapel microphone make sure the lapel’s power button is ON and the battery life is sufficient for the duration of your session.
I cannot find any spare batteries for the microphone
The spare batteries are usually kept in a drawer within the AV equipment rack. You may also locate spare batteries within the vicinity of the lectern. The building supervisors maintain the supply of batteries and OHP globes on a daily basis. If no spare batteries are available or you require assistance to replace a battery, please contact the LSS Service Desk on extension 47064.
The microphone sound is too low/high
All LSS microphones within a shared learning space can be adjusted by a single volume control from the touch panel control system. Selecting the Room or Setup option on the main menu page of the touch panel control system will provide access to the microphones single volume control. If microphone feedback occurs, lower the volume.
Do I need to wear the lapel microphone for my Lectopia recording?
YES - The lapel microphone is to be used for scheduled lectopia recordings. The installed lectern microphones will not guarantee a sufficient recording level and in some instances it may result in a blank recording.
Room lighting
The room lighting within a shared learning space may be adjusted in several ways. The wall light panels installed within the room will allow you to manually adjust the room lighting as required. The touch panel control systems are programmed with four pre-set lighting modes (ON, LEC, AV and OFF). These pre-set lighting modes can be selected as needed and the appropriate pre-set lighting mode will automatically be activated.
Can I override the pre-set room light settings on the touch panel control system?
YES – The ROOM button will give you access to adjust the individual lighting banks as required by selecting the appropriate down and up arrows.
The shared learning space has faulty room lights
Please log a non-urgent fault report or contact the LSS Service Desk on extension.47064 if immediate assistance is required.
