Book Lectopia (Parkville Campus)

Lectopia is available for recording scheduled lectures/classes during semesters and winter and summer intensives; and for recording university events such as public lectures, seminar and symposia proceedings, and special presentations.

The service is available in the following shared learning spaces and meeting rooms.

Booking procedure

  1. Complete the online Lectopia booking form, preferably 5 working days prior to the scheduled lecture or event.
  2. The person making the booking will receive a confirmation email containing schedule details and the url to access the recording. Check the schedule carefully and report any errors or changes immediately.
  3. It is the lecturer's responsibility to have the url link added to their subject web page in the LMS System.

Guidelines for presenters

  1. Prior to your presentation, review the copyright implications of using Lectopia.
  2. The recording process begins and ends automatically, according to the times you submitted in your request.
  3. For each recording session:
    • Wear the lapel mike (usually located in a drawer in the AV rack) and make sure that it is turned on
    • Activate the touch panel control system
    • Check that the microphone volume control on the touch panel has not been muted - read the relevant touch panel guide if you are unfamilair with operating touch panels.
  4. The recorded presentation is generally available an hour after the recording is completed. During periods of peak load, recordings may be available up to three hours after the event.

The Lectopia Resource Centre is a repository of topics related to lecture capture and delivery in the higher education environment.
