Keepad (student response system)

Book Keepad for scheduled classes

We recommend that you submit your bookings at least ten working days in advance of scheduled classes.

Keepad is a new interactive learning technology that allows you to create high quality multi-media presentations, transforming your PowerPoint presentation into a conversation with your students. The technology has been used on campus since late 2005 for classes of up to 50 students, with a successful academic pilot during semester two last year for classes of up to 85 students.

Research has suggested that using this interactive technology can increase retention and add some excitement and enthusiasm to traditional education and training methods. For a demonstration of this award winning technology, please visit the Keepad vendor site - which includes a short video (playable in Windows Media Player).

At present, interested academics may request Keepad for classes of up to 50 students. If equipment is free at the desired time, we can provide loans for up to two hours (extended loans may be possible by special arrangement).

We will respond to your request within four hours (during our service coverage hours), confirming whether the booking can be accommodated, and offering individual consultation times to explain the technology and to ensure that you are able to set-up and use the equipment independently.

You must install TurningPoint on your computer to create or modify PowerPoint presentations so they can interact with the Keepad hardware!
