Library eLearning studios

There are three library eLearning studios.Two in the Percy Baxter Learning Centre (PBLC) and one in the Eastern Resource Centre (ERC).

Booking the library eLearning studios

Academic and teaching staff can book the library eLearning studios by completing this request form. Please include setup time in the booking.

Library eLearning studio computer setup

The library eLearning studio computers have a standard computer setup plus Photoshop and Nvivo. All computers can access UniCard printing.

NetOp School

NetOp School collaboration software is installed in all library eLearning studios.

For a demonstration of how the software may best be used please contact one of our staff for an appointment.

Eastern Resource Centre

There is one library eLearning studios in the ERC. See the user guide for more information:

Percy Baxter Learning Centre

In response to feedback from teachers and students, the eLearning studios in PBLC have undergone a major redesign and upgrade. The upgraded spaces feature enhanced projection capabilities, improved audio projection, more user-friendly control systems, and will be fully enabled for Lectopia screen capture.

Sound

The presenters computer is connected to the room amplification system - see the room user guide for more information.

All student computers have external speakers attached. Press the power button on the front of the speaker and adjust volume as required.

Sliding doors

Large sliding doors allow the training rooms to become part of the open area of the Percy Baxter Learning Centre. Change the size and dynamic of the room as needed. Ask at the help desk and the doors can be opened for you.

Printing

Printing from the library eLearning studios provides access to the UniCard printing queues in the PBLC.

Housekeeping issues

Keys are not provided to the presenters, but ask at the help desk and the staff will open your room for you. If there is no prior booking you may have access before your class starts, but for guaranteed access please book the total time required (including setup time) when booking.

The PBLC library eLearning studios windows face west so afternoon sun can be an issue at certain times of the year. Metal window shutters can be adjusted by using a winder available from the help desk. Please return the winder at the end of your session.

Please keep the library eLearning studios neat and tidy. Wipe the whiteboard, remove any rubbish, shutdown all computers at the end of every class. If you notice any problems with the library eLearning studios please inform the staff at the help desk.
