Student lounges
The precinct renewal will include the re-developed Frank Tate Building.
Selected rooms in this building will undergo major transformation to create student lounges, open extended hours, and offering faster wireless connectivity to the Internet.
The IT Pit-Stop will be a large room flooded by natural light that will offer quick student access to computer kiosks delivering the Internet and other web-based resources.
The Exchange Atoll will feature specially designed furniture to encourage student interaction and collaboration, and will incorporate a small student meeting room equipped for digital media presentation.
The re-development also includes two smaller and more intimate reading rooms designed for more quiet and contemplative activities.
