Video and audio production

Learning Environments provides expert video and audio production capablities to assist and support academics in producing educational multimedia in a convenient and cost-effective manner, especially for placement within LMS subject presence or LMS community sites.

We work in collaboration with academics and educational designers to develop a range of multimedia material, providing support throughout any or all stages of production, including planning and script writing.

Special event recording

We can provide high level, cost efficient coverage for special events held by The University.

Support can range from filming special guest speakers to high profile, large scale events.

Production workshops

We offer free workshops, in response to demand, targeted at individuals/groups seeking to create videos for Melbourne teaching programs, covering planning your video shoots, video recording techniques, and "do-it-yourself" editing. The workshops will provide practical tips designed to help participants produce video that will meet the "quality" expectations of students. Participants are required to bring their own video equipment to the workshop, to ensure the workshop is oriented around the tools that participants will use for their own video shoots. The minimum size for a workshop is three attendees, and the maximum size is six attendees

Service availability

Services are available to any authorised staff member able to supply a Themis code.

Due to increasing demand for our services, the supply of some services may be subject to the availability of specialist staff and resources.
