Future plans to improve our services
Lectopia is currently enabled in more than 70
iMedia theatres/theatrettes. To support the Melbourne model, all shared theatres on Parkville Campus
will be enabled for Lectopia by the commencement of Semester 2, 2008.
- Lectopia keeps evolving in response to changing expectations.
- The new brand recognises that this product is available for capturing a range of experiences and presentations, not just lectures.
- During Winter recess 2008, the following spaces will be enabled:
- Arts Centre-Harold White

- 234 Queensberry St-421 [theatrette]
- Veterinary Science-214 [theatrette]
- We have implemented full screen capture in 25 selected iMedia theatres/theatrettes - this provides automatic capture and play-back of all visual content that is projected onto the presentation wall, in-sync with the audio.
- During the first half of 2008, we will explore the feasibility of extending Lectopia to the ten largest eSeminar rooms
- During second half of 2007, we will investigate the feasibility of implementing a higher degree of systems integration between Lectopia and Blackboard, to enable automatic publishing of recording urls to the appropriate subject page within Blackboard, thus saving time for faculty and delivering a more convenient and streamlined service.
- We are exploring the feasibility of expanding the availability of Lectopia to the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne Business School, and regional campuses (certainly Creswick and possibly Werribee).
